Customs & Shipping Supervisor / Flight Dispatcher

About the role

The Customs & Shipping Supervisor, also acting as Flight Dispatcher, ensures the seamless coordination of flight operations and the efficient handling of customs clearance and shipping activities. This role supports the timely, compliant, and cost‑effective movement of personnel, equipment, and materials for projects, including oil & gas and offshore operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch chartered and scheduled flights for personnel and cargo according to operational needs.
• Prepare flight plans, permits, crew documentation, and obtain necessary operational clearances.
• Liaise with airlines, aviation authorities, ground handling agents, and airport officials.
• Supervise import and export customs clearance for equipment, materials, and spares.
• Prepare and review shipping documents such as AWB, BL, packing lists, invoices, and certificates.
• Manage logistics for air, sea, and land transportation of project cargo, monitoring schedules and resolving delays.
• Maintain relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping agents.
• Support emergency, medevac, and urgent cargo movements as required.
• Ensure cost control, safety, and regulatory compliance across dispatch and shipping operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Aviation Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–8 years of flight dispatch experience and 8–12+ years in customs clearance and shipping logistics.
• Experience supporting oil & gas, offshore, or remote site operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, shipping documentation, and aviation procedures.
