EdTech & IT Officer

About the role

The EdTech & IT Officer will support the UNICEF‑funded digital learning programme “Providing Access to Quality Learning through Digital Modalities” across Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Gaza and Maputo. Working from the national office, the officer will ensure that the network of roughly 50 e‑learning centres remains operational, enabling uninterrupted blended learning for children in crisis‑affected areas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical troubleshooting and maintenance for all digital learning infrastructure, including devices, platforms, connectivity solutions and solar‑powered systems.
• Ensure the Learning Passport and Maza platforms are fully functional and accessible for teachers and learners.
• Collaborate with Digital Learning Coaches, programme teams, partners and schools to minimise disruptions and sustain learning continuity.
• Monitor system uptime, report technical issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Support the delivery of programme objectives in line with donor and government priorities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and maintaining digital learning equipment and platforms.
• Ability to work in low‑connectivity and crisis‑affected environments.
• Commitment to Street Child policies, safeguarding standards and collaborative programme delivery.
