Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliable operation of plant equipment and minimise downtime. You will work on a variety of electrical systems, applying preventive and corrective maintenance while adhering to EHS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns of LV/MV motors, LV switchboards, MCCs, plant lighting, transformers, UPS, VFDs, breakers and soft starters.
• Carry out planned, preventive and predictive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose faults, repair or replace components, re‑assemble and test equipment, and keep the work area clean.
• Use SAP to order spare parts, record maintenance activities and maintain accurate documentation.
• Monitor recurring issues and propose modifications to improve reliability.
• Provide guidance to newly hired electricians, trainees and contractors.
• Participate in 5S, Business Excellence and safety initiatives to continuously improve EHS performance.
• Assist other departments with equipment troubleshooting as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma in a relevant electrical field.
• Completion of PEC Craft Training.
• At least 3 years of experience in heavy‑industry electrical maintenance.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and solid IT knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals and instructions.
