Experienced Panelbeater – Vehicle Bodywork Specialist

About the role

Unitrans is looking for an experienced panelbeater to join its vehicle bodyshop. The successful candidate will work on the repair and restoration of car, bus and truck bodies, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform total or partial bodywork repairs on a variety of motor vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles for painting by disassembling components and treating surfaces.
• Apply automotive paint, polish, and touch‑up finishes to achieve a factory‑like appearance.
• Inspect repaired parts for quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in line with Unitrans protocols.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a panelbeater or in automotive body repair.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality and environmental guidelines.
• Ability to work independently in a hands‑on workshop setting.

Required skills

• Vehicle body repair (metal shaping, welding, panel replacement).
• Automotive painting and surface finishing.
• Polishing and touch‑up techniques.
• Disassembly and preparation of vehicle components.
