Facility Specialist Internship – Facility Management

About the role

The Facility Specialist Intern will work closely with SLB's Facility Management team to support daily operations, maintenance activities, and improvement projects at the Pemba site. This hands‑on internship offers exposure to facility assessments, safety practices, and cost‑effective asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating base maintenance activities across business lines.
• Support cost tracking, permit handling, and contractor communications for the FM team.
• Participate in LEAN‑based quality control programs to standardise facility performance.
• Contribute to special projects involving operations, property management, engineering, and construction.
• Help plan and monitor routine maintenance, repairs, custodial services, and basic security tasks.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and optimise equipment utilisation.
• Research and propose improvements to enhance service quality and safety.
• Support preparation of contract documentation and administration of service agreements.
• Take part in site audits to ensure cleanliness and compliance with operational standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum Engineering or a related field (fresh graduates welcome).
• Strong desire to learn facility management and operations.
• Proactive attitude with attention to detail.
• Fluent English communication skills.
