Field Services Specialist Intern

About the role

Baker Hughes is offering a Field Services Specialist Internship for recent graduates or final‑year students in engineering. The program provides hands‑on experience in oilfield equipment servicing, mechanical maintenance, and automation while working alongside global business leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Complete internal projects that deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
• Learn and use internal software tools to support project execution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and other interns on global initiatives.
• Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards to ensure compliance.
• Gain practical experience with oilfield equipment, hydraulic systems, PLC programming, and network troubleshooting.
• Develop professional skills in customer interaction and technical reporting.

Required profile

• Graduated within the last 2 years with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Network, IT or Software Engineering.
• GPA of at least 3.0/5.0 (or equivalent).
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Legal right to work in Mozambique without sponsorship.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, industrial machinery, automation, PLC programming, and networking.
