Finance Manager – Mozambique

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the finance function for the Mozambique segment, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and insightful analysis to support business decisions. This permanent, fully remote position reports to the Group Finance team and works closely with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting practices in line with group standards and ensure proper cost allocations.
• Implement segment finance policies, procedures, and controls according to Group Finance frameworks.
• Maintain financial controls across all lines of business, monitor authorisation levels, and raise exceptions.
• Validate and authorise journal entries, manage financial records in the finance management system, and resolve queries.
• Reconcile bank statements to the General Ledger and between business and payment systems.
• Analyse costs, recommend improvements, and support preferential procurement processes.
• Prepare and deliver accurate management reports, KPI dashboards, and segment performance insights.
• Contribute to audit activities and address audit queries within deadlines.
• Control departmental budgets and facilitate financial planning.

Required profile

• Degree in Financial Management, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing finance functions in a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting standards, and budgeting.
