Fitter / Motorman for Bulk Carrier (4-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Fitter/Motorman to join a bulk carrier operating under the Liberian flag. The role involves maintaining and repairing the main engine and auxiliary machinery during a four‑month contract based out of Mozambique.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on the MAN‑B&W 6S60ME‑C engine and related systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical failures and execute corrective actions promptly.
• Carry out welding, fitting and alignment tasks in accordance with shipboard standards.
• Maintain accurate technical records and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to support vessel operations and readiness.

Required profile

• Valid STCW certification.
• COP III/5 certification and a current medical certificate.
• Proven experience in a rank position on similar engine types.
• Good command of working English.

Required skills

• STCW certification.

• Medical fitness for offshore duties.
• Engine rank experience, particularly with MAN‑B&W 6S60ME‑C.
