Fullstack Developer (Financial Services Tech)

About the role

Join Vodafone’s Financial Services Technology team as a Fullstack Developer. You will design and build software solutions that support M‑Pesa business requirements while adhering to global standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Solution Architects to translate high‑level designs into service logic.
• Design, develop, and deploy complex standalone applications or components.
• Own technical risk, issue management, and resolution throughout delivery.
• Work closely with Scrum Masters, Project Managers, and Agile squad members to ensure timely delivery.
• Validate that deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.

Required profile

• Degree in IT or a related field (essential).
• Fluent in English and Portuguese (essential).
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban (essential).
• Financial services experience is a plus.
• Desire for continuous learning and problem‑solving using technology.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Go (Golang).
• Web frameworks: ReactJS, Node.js.
• Service architectures: REST, micro‑services.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud.
• Databases: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL.

• Security: cryptographic algorithms, IP networking.
• DevOps: CI/CD, Test‑Driven Development, continuous integration.
