HSE Specialist Intern

About the role

The HSE Specialist Intern will support local management in building and continuously improving the Health, Safety and Environment culture at the Pemba worksite. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in implementing HSE policies, monitoring compliance, and contributing to a safer workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Develop awareness and embed HSE policies and standards into daily operations.
• Assist in implementing the HSE Management System, monitoring objectives, assessing local risks, and drafting procedures.
• Monitor HSE plans and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
• Coordinate HSE training sessions and review related documentation.
• Track and follow up on HSE reports and audit findings.
• Recommend improvements to the HSE program based on observations.
• Analyze local HSE trends to support proactive risk management.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Health, Safety and Environment or a related field.
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Quick learner who can translate knowledge into practical solutions.
• Problem‑solver with initiative and ability to follow QHSE policies.
