Individual Consultant – Translation & Interpretation (12‑month LTA)

About the role

UNICEF Mozambique seeks an experienced consultant to provide high‑quality translation and interpretation services between English and Portuguese on an as‑needed basis for a 12‑month long‑term agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Translate documents, reports, and communications from English to Portuguese and vice‑versa.
• Provide oral interpretation for meetings, workshops, conferences and official events.
• Ensure translations meet UNICEF standards for accuracy, confidentiality and cultural relevance.

Required profile

• University degree in English, Portuguese or a related field; translation/interpretation degree is an asset.
• Minimum five years of professional translation and interpretation experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Portuguese with excellent communication skills.
