About the role
We are looking for a meticulous Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to our remote legal team. The role involves drafting documents, managing case files, and conducting research for matters under US or UK jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, format and proofread legal documents such as motions, contracts, pleadings and correspondence.
- Organise and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring accurate archiving.
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw or PACER.
- Act as liaison between attorneys, clients, opposing counsel and court personnel.
- Manage legal calendars, schedule depositions, hearings and meetings.
- File documents with courts and government agencies in compliance with legal standards.
- Handle telephone calls, email correspondence and billing tasks.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal or legal secretary working with US or UK law.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a Paralegal Certification.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High‑speed, stable internet connection and reliable power supply.

- Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Legal management software.
- LexisNexis, Westlaw and PACER research platforms.
