Market Research Project Officer (Mozambique)

About the role

Burn is seeking a Market Research Project Officer to turn research plans into rigorous, real‑world execution. The role supports Product Managers and the Commercial Department by collecting high‑quality data, coordinating customer interactions, and translating findings into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out structured data collection in the field and via remote channels, following strict research protocols.
• Locate, contact, and schedule customers for interviews, tests, or visits; build practical execution plans including routing and transport.
• Apply methodological rigour: representative sampling, consistent question sequencing, and bias detection.
• Maintain clean, traceable datasets and cross‑check findings against CRM or telemetry data.
• Support basic analysis in Excel, performing data quality checks before reporting.
• Produce clear research notes and reports that distinguish data, inference, and uncertainty, and present actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Confidence in collecting data and adhering to structured research processes under field pressure.
• Methodical mindset with awareness of sample size, representativeness, and limits of conclusions.
• Strong written communication skills to turn observations into concise, understandable reports.
