Offshore Pipeline QC Lead

About the role

Join IOTA’s team to lead quality control on a major international LNG project in Mozambique. You will oversee quality activities on an offshore installation vessel, ensuring technical integrity, safety and compliance throughout complex pipeline installation operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Quality Inspectors on board the offshore vessel.
• Drive quality performance monitoring, KPI dashboards and reporting.
• Develop and implement procedures and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) as required.
• Verify engineering issues against project specifications, codes, standards and classification rules.
• Support the Upstream Quality Manager during surveillance audits and inspections.
• Maintain integrity assurance and contract compliance during offshore installation.
• Review final documentation for the Dispatch Dossier and Manufacturing Record Book (MRB).
• Prepare weekly quality reports and participate in quality meetings.
• Raise, monitor and close NCRs, ensuring corrective and preventive actions.
• Support punch‑list identification, follow‑up and lessons‑learned implementation.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 20 years of Oil & Gas experience, with at least 10 years in Quality Assurance leadership.
• Strong background in offshore pipeline installation and pipelay operations.
• Proven experience on board offshore installation vessels.
• Ability to work in a high‑stress, fast‑paced offshore environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication and multicultural team skills.
