Offshore QC Lead Inspector – Pipeline Installation

About the role

The Offshore QC Lead Inspector will drive the quality culture and performance monitoring for a major offshore pipeline installation campaign. Working on a rotational 28‑day on/28‑day off schedule, the role supports the Installation Manager in technical appraisal and supervision of the 22‑inch pipe lay operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the quality inspectors on board the DW reel‑lay vessel.
• Develop and implement Procedures and Inspection Test Plans (ITP) to ensure technical integrity and compliance with specifications, project codes, standards and classification rules.
• Support the Upstream Quality Manager during surveillance audits, integrity assurance inspections and contract compliance checks.
• Review final documentation and quality records for the Dispatch Dossier and Manufacturing Record Book (MRB).
• Produce weekly quality reports and participate in quality meetings.
• Raise, monitor and close Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Identify punch‑list items and contribute to project lessons learned.

Required profile

• Proven experience in offshore quality control and pipeline installation.
• Familiarity with inspection test plans, quality data management and KPI reporting.
• Knowledge of project specifications, codes, standards and classification rules.
• Ability to lead on‑board inspection teams and interact with multidisciplinary crews.
