Construction & Facilities Supervisor (Qualified Electrician)

About the role

This hands‑on position is based in a mining operation and combines construction supervision, facilities management and electrical maintenance. The successful candidate will act as the organisation’s representative on outsourced construction projects while also providing practical electrical support across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise outsourced construction projects from mobilisation through to completion.
• Monitor contractor performance against scope, specifications, schedule and cost.
• Inspect work‑in‑progress and completed installations to ensure quality standards.
• Identify defects or non‑conformances and enforce corrective actions.
• Measure completed work and verify progress before milestone approval.
• Manage construction and facilities budgets, track expenditure and forecast material needs.
• Plan and sequence construction activities, providing clear progress and cost reporting.
• Carry out hands‑on electrical maintenance, repairs, installations and fault finding.
• Maintain and extend low‑voltage distribution systems, distribution boards and generator/change‑over equipment.
• Support operation and maintenance of on‑site solar power systems.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician with proven experience in construction and facilities supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, budgets and project schedules.
• Strong understanding of mining site safety and operational requirements.
• Practical problem‑solving skills and willingness to perform hands‑on electrical work when needed.
