Operations Manager - Power Generation

About the role

Aggreko is looking for an Operations Manager to coordinate all activities within their assigned area. The role covers operational performance, leading and coordinating operations teams (mainly technicians), and owning customer service delivery and core operations. It is a full-time position based in Mozambique.

Key responsibilities

• Manage major repairs and overhauls on time, to standard and within agreed budgets, including department budgets
• Ensure timely maintenance, availability and reliability of the fleet for deployment, and drive fleet test and turn
• Keep Fleet readiness, utilisation, inventory and related information accurate
• Ensure completion of PM servicing and oil sampling, and drive retrofit and checklist completions
• Accountable for parts supply and core returns, and support the twice-yearly physical assets verification, keeping Movex and fixed asset registers consistent
• Deliver on key metrics such as sets in service and on-time service completions
• Supervise and deploy technicians through planning and scheduling, and audit facilities against Global Service Centre Management Standards
• Drive HSE issues, ensure safety practices and quality standards, and communicate closely with customers and stakeholders

Required profile

• Trade or engineering qualification, preferably as an electrician, diesel mechanic or gas mechanic
• At least 8 years' experience in the power industry, including team management
• Results-driven, able to lead relationships across departments and build strong customer relationships
• Good planning, decision-making and interpersonal skills
