OSBL Area 4 Field Superintendent – Power Generation

About the role

The OSBL Area 4 Field Superintendent will support the Area Manager in overseeing the EPC contractor’s OSBL power generation works on a large LNG project in Mozambique. This on‑site role ensures safety, quality and schedule compliance for the plant’s main power generation system and associated infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HSE commitment on‑site, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Monitor construction activities from start‑up through hand‑over to commissioning, focusing on client‑responsibility interfaces.
• Develop and review execution plans, method statements and procedures to align work with project strategy.
• Maintain a physical presence on‑site to provide quality and construction oversight and to liaise directly with EPC contractor and subcontractor teams.
• Report incidents promptly and enforce a zero‑change policy unless safety or operability is demonstrated.
• Track construction progress, feed internal reporting systems, identify schedule risks and propose mitigations.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising large‑scale industrial construction, preferably in power generation or LNG facilities.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster teamwork and trust.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building capabilities with EPC contractors.
• Ability to work on‑site for extended periods and make decisive safety‑first decisions.
