P&C Drilling Lead

About the role

The P&C Drilling Lead is based in Maputo, Mozambique, within the Comsip unit of VINCI Energies Oil & Gas. The role leads and organizes the Drilling Wells and Logistics activities of the Contracts and Procurement entity, supervising partner entities and managing the D&W contracts and procurement team. It is a project contract of at least 12 months, renewable, starting 01/12/2026.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and organize the Drilling Wells and Logistics activities, assist partner entities and supervise the Contracts and Procurement function on a daily basis
• Drive cost optimization using market intelligence, supplier qualifications and evaluations, cost models and target prices
• Lead Duet/Triplet meetings with partners and technical managers, coordinate the workload and maintain the necessary competencies
• Create procurement planning, supervise technical contracts and purchase orders, and manage PRs for materials from other entities
• Run selective contractual audits, intervene in legal settlements and define and monitor KPIs
• Manage budgets for studies of 1 to 3 million dollars and oversee activities worth 30 to 500 million dollars (CAPEX and major risk)
• Ensure the right reservoir wellbore interface is chosen, report activity to management and keep contract templates up to date

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent (Level 7); 10-15 years of experience with excellent knowledge of supply chain
• Advanced Contracts and Procurement skills; basic or intermediate knowledge of other technical areas
• Project management, exploration, drilling, engineering and field operations understanding, plus excellent negotiation skills
• Team spirit and communication; international experience required
• Certified in advanced C&P tools
