Senior Project Engineer - Offshore Oil & Gas (Mozambique)

About the role

An experienced Senior Project Engineer is sought to support a major offshore Oil & Gas development in Mozambique. The role coordinates multidisciplinary engineering activities across LNG, FLNG, subsea and deepwater projects, from early development and engineering through execution, commissioning and start-up.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities and technical interfaces across disciplines, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Support engineering from concept development and FEED through EPC/EPCIC, construction, commissioning and start-up.
• Review engineering documentation and contractor deliverables against project requirements, international standards, HSE and industry best practice.
• Support technical evaluations, tendering and contractor management.
• Monitor engineering progress and contribute to schedule, cost, risk and constructability reviews.
• Take part in technical and safety reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS and design reviews.
• Provide technical leadership and help resolve multidisciplinary engineering and interface issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, chemical, naval, marine, electrical or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years in offshore Oil & Gas projects, including 5 years in engineering coordination, technical leadership or project management.
• Solid experience with major FLNG, FPSO, LNG, subsea or deepwater developments.
• Good understanding of FEED, EPC/EPCIC, commissioning and start-up.
• Demonstrated experience in interface management and contractor management.
• Knowledge of LNG/FLNG facilities and offshore/subsea systems is highly valued.
• Previous exposure to large-scale capital projects and international contractors/suppliers.
• Fluent English is required; intermediate Portuguese is an advantage.
• A Master's degree in Engineering Management, Project Management or a related field is an advantage.
