Planning and Cost Control Technician (m/f)

About the role

The Cost Controller is responsible for implementing and maintaining effective project cost control systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely reporting of all project costs throughout the project lifecycle. The role supports project‑management decision‑making through cost analysis, forecasting, trend monitoring and financial performance reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain effective project cost control systems.
• Ensure accurate, complete and timely reporting of all project costs throughout the lifecycle.
• Support decision‑making with cost analysis, forecasting, trend monitoring and financial performance reporting.
• Monitor cost trends and variances against the project baseline.
• Prepare regular financial performance reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, including resource and cost loading.
• Strong understanding of project cost control methodologies, forecasting techniques and earned value management.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of accrual accounting principles and period‑end closing processes.
• Experience in EPC and construction environments is preferred.
