Programs Manager – Cabo Delgado

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Programs Manager to lead humanitarian programmes in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. The role provides strategic direction, ensures programmes align with humanitarian principles, and coordinates implementation across multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to align programmes with humanitarian standards and the evolving context.
• Lead programme design, ensuring interventions are evidence‑based, technically sound and operationally feasible.
• Coordinate with technical specialists to integrate sectoral standards, cross‑cutting themes and protection mainstreaming.
• Oversee operational planning, implementation and monitoring to guarantee timely delivery of activities.
• Manage coordination with government authorities, UN agencies, clusters, local partners and donors to avoid duplication.
• Allocate and monitor human, financial and material resources in line with approved work plans and budgets.
• Conduct regular field visits to verify programme quality, effectiveness and accountability.
• Represent World Vision in provincial and district humanitarian coordination mechanisms.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing humanitarian or development programmes in complex contexts.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian principles, protection mainstreaming and sectoral standards.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate with government, UN agencies, NGOs and donors.
• Experience in budgeting, resource allocation and monitoring & evaluation of programmes.
