Public Relations Specialist

About the role

Huawei Mozambique is seeking a seasoned Public Relations Specialist to strengthen its presence in the local market. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with government bodies, media outlets, and key ecosystem partners while driving high‑impact events and communications initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and nurture relationships with government, media, and other stakeholders to support business objectives.
• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of national exhibitions and self‑initiated events, ensuring resource alignment and value delivery.
• Manage media relations, organize press events, interviews, and promote positive coverage of Huawei activities.
• Monitor public opinion, compile and analyse relevant information about the company and its operating environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in public relations or communications.
• Deep understanding of Mozambique’s culture and market, with established contacts in government and media.
• Strong communication, resource coordination, and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent English with excellent written and oral skills.
• Proven experience organizing large‑scale events and meetings.
