Quantity Surveyor – LNG Project

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support the on‑shore EPC package of a large‑scale LNG development in Afungi, Mozambique. Working on a $4 billion EPC contract, the role ensures contractual compliance, protects company interests and drives accurate change‑order management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Administer EPC contract parts (ISBL/OSBL) in line with contractual terms.
• Process change orders, maintain logs and ensure proper filing.
• Support Contract Engineers with contractual correspondence and technical queries.
• Review and validate change‑order quantities, including on‑site inspections.
• Analyse contractor proposals and recommend actions to project teams.
• Prepare evidence for change orders and amendments per company procedures.
• Coordinate with site technical teams to incorporate requirements into change‑order processes.
• Review contractors’ monthly payment applications and verify invoices.
• Liaise with lead Contract Engineers, site management and cross‑functional departments.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Business, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a similar EPC/EPCC contract role.
• Strong knowledge of construction law and contract management in an international oil & gas environment.
• Proven ability to manage technical issues and contractual documentation.
