Sales Executive – Polymers (South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique)

About the role
The company, a leading chemical distributor across Africa and the Middle East, is seeking a dynamic Sales Executive focused on polymers. The role will drive growth of polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) and metallocene‑based products in South Africa, Malawi and Mozambique, combining technical expertise with commercial acumen.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve volume, revenue and margin targets across the assigned territories.
- Identify and develop new customers, distributors and market opportunities.
- Lead negotiations, prepare proposals and close deals.
- Provide technical guidance on PP, PE and PVC applications, especially metallocene products.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and deliver regular market reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Promote adoption of ExxonMobil metallocene products and increase market share.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
- 3‑5 years of technical sales or business development experience in the polymer industry.
- Proven track record with PP, PE and PVC product portfolios; exposure to metallocene technology is a strong advantage.
- Experience in trading or distribution of polymers.
- Familiarity with African markets is an asset.
