Seminary Professor

About the role

The Maputo Biblical and Theological Seminary is seeking a dedicated Seminary Professor to join its faculty. The successful candidate will engage enthusiastic students eager to deepen their understanding of Scripture and learn how to apply it effectively in ministry contexts across Mozambique and Southern Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Bible and theology.
• Supervise student research projects, writing assignments, and theses.
• Recruit, advise, and mentor students both inside and outside the classroom.
• Contribute to a dynamic, collaborative environment for theological education.
• Assist in curriculum development and support the seminary’s academic goals.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in theology, biblical studies, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
• Prior experience teaching Bible or theology at the post‑secondary level.
• Cross‑cultural experience and background in vocational ministry.
• Fluency in Portuguese.
• Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a passion for theological education.
