Senior Electrical Artisan – Plant Maintenance

About the role

Sasol is seeking two Senior Electrical Artisans to support the delivery, commissioning and start‑up of production at its Temane plant in Mozambique. You will ensure the reliability and operability of electrical equipment, applying preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance while adhering to safety and procedural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on all plant electrical systems.
• Interpret electrical drawings and schematics, conduct advanced fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Repair faults, commission new equipment and execute plant shutdowns safely.
• Carry out technical investigations, failure analysis and factory inspections.
• Lead small maintenance teams, coordinate activities and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure spare parts availability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Ability to work independently and lead junior artisans.
• Strong understanding of safety, risk assessment and emergency procedures.
• Good communication skills to report progress and collaborate with supervisors.
