Senior Manager – Soy Value Chain

About the role

TechnoServe is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the soy value chain portfolio within the GV4G programme in Mozambique. The role provides strategic, technical and operational leadership across the Beira and Nacala corridors, driving impact for smallholder farmers and private‑sector partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall soy value‑chain strategy and portfolio plan.
• Provide technical leadership on regenerative agriculture, climate‑smart soy production and sustainable intensification.
• Supervise corridor managers and technical staff, ensuring performance, monitoring and learning.
• Approve implementation plans, co‑investment opportunities and strategic partnerships with processors, aggregators, seed companies and input suppliers.
• Identify, test and scale innovative approaches that improve productivity, market access and resilience.
• Design inclusive sourcing, aggregation and outgrower models linking smallholders to domestic processing.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale agribusiness programmes in emerging markets.
• Strong track record in portfolio management, investment mobilization and partnership development.
• Excellent communication skills with senior government, donor and private‑sector stakeholders.
