Senior Project Lead - Mozambique

About the role

The Senior Project Lead provides strategic and operational leadership for the EKN HIV Instrument Project in Mozambique, acting as the senior in‑country representative. The role ensures programme performance, stakeholder engagement and alignment with donor commitments, national priorities and community needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for implementation of the EKN project in Mozambique.
• Lead development and execution of country implementation strategies, workplans and operational priorities.
• Ensure delivery of project outcomes, targets, milestones and contractual commitments.
• Oversee integration of HIV prevention, SRHR, GBV, psychosocial support and community engagement for AGYW.
• Maintain strategic relationships with the Embassy of the Netherlands, government stakeholders, partners and donors.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Public Health, International Development, Health Systems, Social Sciences, Programme Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum ten years of progressively responsible experience in public health, international development or donor‑funded programmes.
• Significant experience leading complex programme implementation and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven experience engaging senior government stakeholders and development partners.
