Senior Structural Engineer (Full-time)

About the role

McDermott International is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead field engineering activities on the Mozambique LNG Project. The role involves applying engineering best practices, guiding a multidisciplinary team, and delivering technical solutions that meet project specifications and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support construction by ensuring timely delivery of materials and drawings to the site.
• Perform site design changes during construction, including red‑line mark‑ups on as‑built drawings.
• Provide technical support to QA/QC groups for non‑conformance issues and dispositions.
• Assist the construction project team in interpreting drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Coordinate closely with the home office to resolve engineering problems that cannot be solved on‑site.
• Act as the interface between the site engineering team and the lead office, ensuring compliance with McDermott and JV policies.

Required profile

• Senior‑level field engineer with extensive experience in structural and civil engineering.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and project‑specific guidelines.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for complex engineering challenges.
