Software QA Engineer

About the role

Muhlbauer ID Services GmbH is recruiting a Software QA Engineer to be based in Maputo, Mozambique. The role covers manual and automated testing of web-based applications, defect tracking and close collaboration with developers.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated software testing of web-based applications
• Design and maintain test plans, test cases and test procedures
• Perform different test techniques and identify, document and track software defects
• Collaborate with developers to analyse and resolve issues
• Review software documentation and give structured feedback on usability and functionality
• Maintain test and system documentation and support preventive and corrective maintenance
• Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Proven experience in software testing/QA engineering
• Good command of English (written and spoken)
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility and reliability
• Ability to work independently and in a team; willingness to travel if required
• Candidates must provide at least two references

Required skills

• Test automation tools
• Experience with JSON and web services (APIs)
• Experience in agile environments and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines are advantages
• Proven software development experience is an advantage
