Supply Chain Officer (CD)

About the role

The Supply Chain Officer (CD) will manage the end‑to‑end procurement and logistics processes to ensure that goods and services are sourced, stored, and delivered efficiently and cost‑effectively. This fixed‑term position supports project teams by providing reliable supply chain solutions in line with organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify suppliers, obtain quotations, negotiate prices and purchase goods and services.
• Coordinate storage, transportation and delivery to guarantee timely and safe arrival of products.
• Maintain stock levels of materials and equipment with a clear distribution plan.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, track orders from placement to delivery and ensure timely fulfilment.
• Assist staff, suppliers and partners, verifying needs and directing them to appropriate contacts.
• Arrange logistical support for meetings, including meals and documentation.
• Manage document copying, filing and archival of incoming and outgoing mail.
• Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards, coordinate inspections and handle non‑conforming items.

Required profile

• Fluent written and oral Portuguese; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities with the capacity to set priorities.
• Proactive, able to work independently and engage effectively with colleagues.
• Bachelor’s (Honours) degree or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of administrative experience; experience in purchasing/procurement and logistics is advantageous.
