Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor will lead daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling of stock and timely order fulfillment. This role combines team leadership with process optimisation to support the supply chain of Spar Vipsupermercado in Mozambique.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of warehouse associates, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee inventory management, maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
• Coordinate with other departments to streamline supply‑chain processes.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Analyze warehouse metrics and KPIs to identify improvement areas.
• Implement quality‑control measures to minimise errors and maximise customer satisfaction.
• Manage staffing levels and schedules to meet operational demands.
• Collaborate with upper management to set and achieve long‑term warehouse goals.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years experience in supply‑chain, fulfillment or distribution.
• 1‑3 years leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and successful Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, CDL, DOT and MHE regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) – preferably Korber or similar software.
• Inventory Management Systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CDL, DOT and MHE regulatory requirements.
