Cash Management Specialist – Treasury Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Cash Management Specialist to join the finance team of a multinational oil & energy company. Reporting to the Financial Controller and VP Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient handling of daily cash flows and supporting treasury operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage account balances on a daily and monthly basis.
• Handle incoming and outgoing cash transactions effectively each day.
• Prepare and process payment proposals, including manual payments.
• Manage petty cash under supervision of the senior cash management specialist.
• Estimate cash requirements and forecast cash positions for assigned accounts.
• Assist senior specialist with balance‑sheet reconciliations, SOX responses, and bank reconciliations for all entities.
• Support the development and maintenance of cash‑management policies, procedures, and systems.
• Assist in opening new bank accounts and implementing process improvements.
• Liaise with offshore and Mozambican banks for daily cash operations.
• Provide support for auditor inquiries, tax reporting, and guarantee evaluations.
• Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of all financial records and reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or Auditing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in treasury or cash management.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, strong attention to detail, and willingness to work locally.

Required skills

• SAP (experience preferred).
