Reliability & Integrity Area Manager – PPA/PSA

About the role

Sasol is seeking a senior professional to lead the reliability and integrity function for its PPA & PSA assets in Inhambane, Temane. The role will drive proactive maintenance, risk‑based inspection and integrity management programmes to ensure operational excellence, safety and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Implement reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) strategies to maximise asset uptime and minimise unplanned outages.
• Analyse equipment performance data, identify failure modes and lead root‑cause investigations.
• Develop and oversee integrity management systems for pipelines, pressure vessels, rotating equipment and production facilities.
• Lead risk‑based inspection (RBI) and fitness‑for‑service (FFS) assessments and ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO and Mozambican regulations.
• Provide technical leadership across upstream and mid‑stream operations, supporting troubleshooting and corrective‑action implementation.
• Champion process safety, conduct HAZID and HAZOP studies, and manage hazard assessments.
• Develop emergency response strategies for integrity‑related incidents.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, inspectors and document controllers, collaborating with operations, maintenance, projects and SHE functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading reliability and integrity teams in the chemicals or energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (API, ASME, ISO) and local regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute RBI, FFS and RCM programmes.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
• Leadership capability to manage cross‑functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
