Trailer Fitter

About the role

The Trailer Fitter is responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing heavy‑duty trailers to ensure they remain safe, compliant and road‑worthy. The role involves diagnosing faults, replacing defective components and carrying out routine inspections, all performed to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults on trailers.
• Replace or repair defective parts using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to meet safety and compliance standards.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and parts used.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in heavy‑duty trailer maintenance or a similar mechanical role.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and compliance.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs independently.
• Physical capability to handle heavy components and work in varied conditions.
• Commitment to delivering work to the highest standard.
