INGO Forum Coordinator – Mozambique (Maputo)

About the role

The INGO Forum Coordinator will lead the coordination, advocacy and access work of the INGO Forum in Mozambique, representing member organisations in national, regional and international fora. Hosted by the Norwegian Refugee Council, the role operates within NRC’s framework while maintaining independence to advance the forum’s humanitarian agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and coordinate the forum’s work on advocacy, access, localisation and related themes.
• Finalize formal registration of the INGO Forum to enable independent funding applications.
• Lead INGO engagement in the Humanitarian Reset, convening INGOs to develop positioning and proposals.
• Coordinate with national NGOs, the Humanitarian Country Team and UN agencies to ensure inclusive and effective coordination mechanisms.
• Represent NGO positions in high‑level and global fora and serve as focal point for donors, government and UN partners.
• Lead collective advocacy on humanitarian access, principled response and security issues.
• Strengthen outreach to national NGOs and civil society, promoting capacity‑building and inclusion in coordination processes.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Development Studies, Humanitarian Affairs).
• 6–10 years of experience in advocacy, coordination or management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including NGOs, UN agencies and donors.
