MEAL Coordinator

About the role

The MEAL Coordinator will lead the design, implementation and oversight of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems across response projects. This role ensures data quality, supports learning, and integrates gender and protection considerations into program cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement M&E frameworks, indicators, data collection tools and reporting systems for multiple projects.
• Oversee data quality reporting, supervising validation processes to ensure accurate and timely results.
• Coordinate evaluations, lessons‑learned exercises and feedback mechanisms to strengthen accountability.
• Monitor project implementation using mixed methods (qualitative, quantitative, participatory) and produce regular performance reports.
• Develop and maintain Indicator Tracking Tables (ITTs) and ensure consistent reporting from project teams and partners.
• Provide M&E technical support and training to field teams and partners, building capacity on tools and standards.
• Adapt logframes, technical approaches and indicator frameworks in collaboration with emergency and technical teams.
• Conduct context analyses, including gender and protection assessments, and lead related needs assessments.
• Integrate gender and protection mainstreaming throughout program design, implementation and evaluation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, program management or related roles within development or humanitarian organisations.
• Proven experience leading M&E systems across multiple projects.
• Strong ability to design and implement M&E frameworks, logframes and indicator tracking systems.
• Demonstrated competence in data quality assurance and producing analytical reports for donors and senior management.
