Performance Engineer

About the role

Eni Rovuma Basin B.V. is seeking a Performance Engineer to join its drilling team in Maputo, Mozambique. You will lead performance improvement initiatives, monitor drilling KPIs, and analyse non‑productive time to enhance efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse drilling Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Non‑Productive Time (NPT) against operational benchmarks.
• Conduct advanced statistical analysis to identify trends, performance gaps and optimisation opportunities.
• Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards with actionable, data‑driven insights.
• Develop and implement drilling performance improvement plans using analytical methodologies.
• Collaborate with operational and engineering teams to identify efficiencies and best practices.
• Analyse offset well data to establish target KPIs, risk models and performance benchmarks.
• Review WellView and operational data for accuracy, consistency and completeness.
• Conduct drilling cost analysis and recommend strategies to reduce cost per metre drilled.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in performance monitoring and data analysis.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting insights and recommendations.
