Procurement Agent (Local Manufacturing)

About the role

BURN is seeking a Procurement Agent to manage the local procurement process that supports the manufacturing of IDC in Mozambique. The role ensures timely acquisition of quality goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Place and manage purchase requisitions and orders, ensuring on‑time delivery.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate bids, and present recommendations for approval.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Conduct market research and vendor due‑diligence.
• Monitor inventory levels and place replenishment orders to avoid stockouts.
• Collaborate with warehouse, engineering, and production teams to coordinate inbound deliveries and storage.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation, preferred supplier lists, and cash forecasts.
• Perform vendor appraisals and analyze supplier performance for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 1 year of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
