Self Reliance Services Coordinator

About the role

The Welfare and Self‑Reliance Services department seeks a dedicated Coordinator to support leaders and members in building spiritual and temporal self‑reliance. This position works closely with the Welfare Self‑Reliance Manager to plan, coordinate, and provide counsel across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and counsel with the Welfare Self‑Reliance Manager.
• Identify the needs of leaders in stakes and wards and match them with appropriate tools and resources.
• Facilitate the Bishop’s order system, handling order placement and queries.
• Assist managers with training on the Bishop’s order system.
• Provide loading and support for PEF and Benson scholarship applicants.
• Support the development and implementation of area welfare and self‑reliance plans.

Required profile

• Current Temple Recommend or eligibility for one.
• Three‑year degree or diploma in Business Management, Administration, or a related field.
• Willingness to serve, strong listening and teaching abilities, and confidence speaking to both small and large groups.
• Ability to keep confidences and work effectively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with remote meeting applications such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Advanced office skills, including spreadsheets, tables, forms, and charts (Microsoft Office suite).
• Research, analytical, and data‑summation capabilities.
