Area Sales Manager – Mozambique

About the role

Portwest, a global leader in safety wear, workwear and PPE, is looking for an Area Sales Manager to drive sales of its products across Mozambique. You will work independently to open new distribution channels and grow existing relationships, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors and end‑users throughout the territory.
• Identify new business opportunities, create sales plans and execute them to achieve growth targets.
• Conduct face‑to‑face meetings, present product samples and prepare clear proposals or quotations.
• Provide consultative, solutions‑based selling to match customer needs with Portwest offerings.
• Gather market intelligence and represent the brand at trade shows, seminars and exhibitions.
• Drive growth in target industry segments and designated sales channels.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience selling PPE, workwear or safety wear, preferably on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor or agency.
• Proven ability to develop sales plans for aggressive market expansion.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a positive, results‑oriented attitude.
• Legal right to live and work in Mozambique.
