Assistant Executive Housekeeper

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support the Executive Housekeeper in delivering high‑standard housekeeping and laundry services at Avani Pemba Beach Hotel & Spa. The role combines operational oversight, budgeting and staff coordination to ensure guest areas are immaculate and safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in planning manpower requirements, aligning labour usage with business needs and seasonal trends.
• Prepare annual budgets for housekeeping and laundry operations.
• Support the overall management of housekeeping and laundry functions across the hotel.
• Conduct routine inspections of all housekeeping areas together with supervisory staff.
• Ensure public, guest‑facing and back‑of‑house areas are consistently cleaned to brand standards.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety requirements.
• Promote adherence to departmental SOPs and LSOPs among all housekeeping staff.

Required profile

• Experience in hotel housekeeping or laundry management.
• Ability to plan staffing levels and develop operational budgets.
• Strong knowledge of health‑and‑safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
