Chief Financial Officer – FMCG/Manufacturing

About the role

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join an established FMCG/manufacturing organisation in Mozambique. The CFO will partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership, providing strategic financial direction and hands‑on operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial strategy, planning, forecasting and performance management.
• Lead commercial finance and operational business partnering across the organisation.
• Oversee IFRS and local statutory reporting, treasury, liquidity, funding and banking relationships.
• Manage budgeting, capital investment appraisal and project evaluation.
• Drive cost management, profitability improvement and financial risk management.
• Ensure tax, audit and regulatory compliance.
• Improve finance systems and processes.
• Lead and develop the finance function.

Required profile

• 7‑10+ years of senior financial management experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
• Proven experience in commercial finance, treasury and budgeting.
• Experience in a multinational or complex operating environment.
• Leadership and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Portuguese language ability is a plus.
