Communications Associate – UN Women

About the role

The Communications Associate will support UN Women’s visibility in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique by creating communication products, capturing field stories, and managing digital content to highlight humanitarian and gender‑equality interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and produce multimedia communication materials (infographics, newsletters, photos, videos) that comply with UN Women and donor branding standards.
• Document programme results, beneficiary stories, and lessons learned for donor reports, advocacy materials and public outreach.
• Maintain and update the Country Office’s digital platforms, including website and social‑media channels, and monitor audience engagement.
• Provide logistical and communications support for media events, press releases, and advocacy campaigns.

Required profile

• Strong technical ability to independently create high‑quality graphic, photo, and video content for multiple platforms.
• Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts, with awareness of safeguarding, PSEA and consent requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
