Community Technician

About the role

The Community Technician will support the implementation of community‑focused activities within the Zinave Integrated Development Programme. Working under the supervision of the Community Development Coordinator, the role is field‑based and aims to strengthen engagement with local communities and stakeholders to achieve conservation and livelihood objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering community development actions that promote sustainable livelihoods and natural‑resource use.
• Facilitate coordination between the park management team, local communities and other partners.
• Support monitoring and reporting on community‑related activities and outcomes.
• Contribute to the delivery of the programme’s conservation and community resilience goals.

Required profile

• Motivated and community‑oriented professional with a passion for sustainable development and conservation.
• Proven experience in community development work, preferably in rural or conservation settings.
• Ability to work in field‑based conditions and travel within the park area.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
