Consortium Manager – Mozambique (Pemba)

About the role

The Consortium Manager will lead the consortium management unit in Pemba, Mozambique, ensuring coordinated implementation of activities across member organisations, donors and stakeholders. This role serves as the primary point of contact for the consortium, driving strategy, compliance and effective communication.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate consortium members, steering and technical committees, and partner teams to deliver high‑quality activities in line with donor and consortium rules.
• Recruit, manage and supervise consortium‑specific staff, consultants and sub‑contractors.
• Oversee the consortium unit’s budget, assets and resources, ensuring financial accountability.
• Develop and implement a multi‑year consortium strategy together with the Steering Committee.
• Represent the consortium to donors, government bodies, coordination platforms and NGOs.
• Manage all aspects of grant administration, including proposal preparation, reporting, partnership agreements and information sharing.
• Coordinate monitoring and evaluation, produce regular progress reports and support learning across members.
• Maintain compliance with NRC policies and procedures, and manage relationships with donors such as ECHO.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing multi‑partner programmes or consortia, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong background in grant management, financial oversight and reporting.
• Excellent coordination, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to develop strategic plans and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Experience working with international donors and adhering to compliance standards.
