About the role

The Accounts Receivables Accountant is responsible for ensuring timely collection of client invoices, processing receipts, and maintaining accurate client account records for the Mozambique operation.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up outstanding client invoices and process receipts in JDE Flex.
• Send regular client statements (at least twice a month) with payment reminders.
• Escalate overdue invoices and client complaints to Operations Managers and Business Development.
• Coordinate monthly meetings with the Operations team to discuss overdue accounts.
• Maintain up‑to‑date status of overdue accounts, including comments on reasons for delays.
• Perform monthly client age‑analysis reconciliation and recommend credit suspension for long‑overdue accounts.
• File and archive documents accurately on a monthly basis.
• Run integrity reports, support audits, and assist in streamlining the accounts payable process.
• Handle ad‑hoc queries and ensure all monthly deadlines are met.

Required profile

• Ability to perform timely follow‑up of client balances and collections.
• Attention to detail in recording receipts and maintaining account status.
• Capability to coordinate with Operations and Business Development teams.
• Experience in preparing client statements and age‑analysis reports.
