Country Finance Manager

About the role

The Country Finance Manager will lead the finance function for the country, ensuring implementation of group financial policies, internal controls, and compliance with statutory requirements. This senior position oversees budgeting, reporting, treasury, tax, and audit activities while managing a finance team to achieve strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement group financial policies and maintain a robust internal control environment.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, cost control, and capital expenditure monitoring.
• Oversee treasury activities, including cash‑flow forecasting, foreign‑exchange hedging, and management of excess cash.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and address audit findings promptly.
• Manage tax compliance, filing returns in accordance with the Income Tax Act.
• Control credit exposure by reviewing and approving customer credit limits.
• Supervise stock reconciliation, investigate losses, and enforce procurement policies.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing a finance team.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory accounting standards.
• Demonstrated ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Experience in treasury management, cash‑flow forecasting, and foreign‑exchange risk mitigation.
• Solid understanding of tax administration and compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on risk control and mitigation.
