Education Consultant – Learning to Earning (L2E)

About the role

The consultant will support the Learning to Earning team of UNICEF Mozambique to consolidate and operationalise the Learning‑to‑Earning (L2E) agenda, focusing on strengthening MAZA as the central digital and methodological platform for upskilling, coaching, pathway guidance and access to learning and earning opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate MAZA as the core Learning‑to‑Earning platform.
• Roll out L2E through a blended MAZA‑based approach in selected contexts.
• Strengthen accreditation, partnerships and systems required to sustain and scale L2E.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Communications, Development Studies or related social sciences.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in education, youth programming, skills development or school‑to‑work transition programmes.
• Demonstrated experience designing or supporting learning‑to‑earning, youth employment or vocational skills initiatives, preferably in low‑ and middle‑income or fragile contexts.
• Experience developing partnerships with government, training providers, private‑sector actors, NGOs or development partners to support certification, internships, apprenticeships or entrepreneurship.
